Dr. José Álvaro Estrada Barrantes
Dr. Fa graduated in Medicine from the Pompeu Fabra University - Autonomous University of Barcelona at the Parc de Salut Mar teaching unit in Barcelona. He subsequently completed a specialization in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona through a resident internship.
During his residency, Dr. Fa expressed interest in foot and ankle pathology, so he completed a stay at an international reference center with Dr. Lew Schon at the Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction, Baltimore, Maryland, USA, and another national stay with Dr. Monteagudo and his team at the Foot and Ankle Unit of the QuirónSalud Madrid Hospital.
After completing her specialization, she joined the trauma team at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, where she is currently consolidating her training in the diagnosis and treatment of trauma, as well as degenerative foot and ankle pathologies.
She stands out for her promotion and development in the field of scientific research. During her training, she has contributed to more than 10 scientific publications, received national and international scholarships and awards, and participated in more than 20 oral presentations and 20 posters at national and international conferences in the field.
He currently combines his work in the Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology department at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau with that of Talus.
